The Fox Lake Public Library and the Monarch Library System is pleased to provide access to Transparent Languages. Transparent Language Online provides a fun, effective, and engaging experience for learners of all levels looking to build their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in a foreign language. All you need is your library card barcode number and an e-mail address.

Combining robust courses, supplemental vocabulary, extensive grammar resources, and mobile apps, Transparent Language Online is the most complete language-learning system. With over 100 languages to choose from, including English for speakers of over 26 languages, there is something for every learner. Best of all, with enhanced support for Android ™ tablets and iPads, learners can enjoy the freedom to learn at home, in the library, or on the go. All you need is your library card barcode number and an e-mail address.

Gettin Started

Creating a Library Collection Account:

  • Click on the link for Transparent Languages above.
  • Click on “Sign Up” tab of the box. You will need your library card number.
  • Follow the instructions to create your account.
Getting the App

If you are using a tablet or smartphone, you will need to download the Transparent Language App to access Transparent Languages.

  • First, create an account using the directions for Getting Started above.
  • Go to the Apple Store or Google Play Store, search for “Transparent Language”, and download the Transparent Language app.
  • Open the “Transparent Language” mobile app and enter your Transparent Language Online username.
  • If you are asked for a password: enter your Transparent Language Online password
    • If you are asked to log in to your portal, follow the link to your portal
    • In your portal, launch Transparent Language Online, and you will see an app authentication page.
    • On the app authentication page, the “Log in” button, and the app will open, and you will be logged in.
